Privacy Policy
This policy describes what happens to data when you visit HeyTeaMenuGuide.us. It is written to be read rather than skimmed past.

What we collect
Nothing you type. We have no accounts, no logins, no newsletter and no comment system.
What third parties collect
Advertising and analytics services set cookies and read standard technical data such as your IP address and browser.
Your choices
Ad personalisation can be turned off, cookies can be blocked, and the site works fully without either.
Information we collect ourselves
HeyTeaMenuGuide.us is a static website. There is no account system, no login, no newsletter signup, no comment section and no user profile. I do not ask for your name, your email address or your location, and there is no database on our side holding visitor records.
The one exception is the contact form. That form does not send anything to us directly. When you submit it, your own email application opens with the message prefilled, and you decide to send it. If you do send it, I receive your email address and whatever you wrote, exactly as with any other email, and I keep it only as long as needed to deal with your message.
Advertising
This site is funded by advertising. Advertising partners, including Google and its certified partners, may place and read cookies or similar identifiers on your device to serve ads and measure their performance. This is how the site pays for itself.
Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
Ad personalisation can be turned off in your Google Ads settings. Browser level controls for blocking or clearing cookies also apply, and industry opt out tools operated by the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance cover many other vendors. None of these controls restricts access to anything on this site.
Analytics
I may use a privacy respecting analytics service to understand which pages are read and how people arrive at them. Analytics data is aggregated. I use it to decide what to write next, not to identify individuals, and I do not attempt to link it to any person.
Technical data
Like every website, ours is served over the internet, and that means the hosting provider and any content delivery network in front of it process standard technical information in order to deliver pages to you. That includes your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and the time of the request. This data is used for delivering the site and for security, including protection against automated abuse.
Storage in your browser
Some features on this site remember small things locally on your own device to make them usable. The recipe pages, for example, keep track of which steps you have ticked off while you are reading. This information stays in your browser, it is never transmitted to us, and clearing your site data removes it.
Children
This site is a general audience reference about a menu. It is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect information from them. Since we operate no account system, there is no mechanism here through which a child could submit personal information to us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data held about you, including rights of access, correction and deletion. Because I operate no account system and hold no visitor database, the only personal data I am ever likely to hold about you is an email you chose to send us. You can ask us to delete that at any time by writing to [email protected], and I will.
For data held by advertising partners rather than by us, those companies operate their own privacy controls and their own request processes, and their policies govern that data.
Links and third parties
This site does not link out to external websites. Advertising served on these pages is supplied by third parties and may lead to sites we do not operate or control. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any advertiser or any site an advert leads to.
Changes to this policy
I will update this page when my practices change. The effective date above shows when the current version took effect. Material changes will be reflected in that date rather than made quietly.
